On Jan. 31st bluegrass chameleons Poor Man's Whiskey ( www.poormanswhiskey.com ) is throwing a 70's style "Pimpin' Ho Down" at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco . Guests are invited to join in on the event by coming in their "most pimpin' duds". The show is the 2nd annual event for PMW at the Great American Music Hall , following last year's successful "Dark Side of the Moonshine" (a bluegrass interpretation of the Pink Floyd classic album). The Hall was transformed into the magical world of Oz, with musicians and friends alike dressed in their favorite Wizard of Oz characters.
This year's event looks to take a journey to the golden era of Studio 54. To get the Ho down started will be Seattle based funk-rock band Flowmotion ( www.flowmotion.net ). Pre-show entertainment will be provided by Huckle.
Prizes will be awarded for the grooviest outfit and the sweetest dance moves. Purchase an advance ticket and receive a free commemorative poster and a chance to win a summer festival weekend as Poor Man's Whiskey's special guest (complete with a ride on the Bus!)
Poor Man's Whiskey plays "High Octane Hootenanny" music. Dance, Laugh, and Sing.
