The Voidz are a band of madcap creatives known for smashing genres mixing alternative, rock, electronic and experimental sounds to create their own unique soundscapes. With Julian Casablancas (The Strokes) at the helm, the band also consists of guitarists Amir Yaghmai and Jeramy “Beardo” Gritter, keyboardist Jeff Kite, Jake Bercovici on bass and synthesizers and Alex Carapetis on drums.
The band’s last release, Virtue (2018) saw the band tour extensively, while the album ended up on many critic’s top 10 year-end lists. Consequence of Sound called Virtue “the most interesting record of Casablancas’ career.” In 2019 the band released 2 songs with Mac DeMarco and in the end of 2020 released a track called “Alien Crime Lord” which was performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and is featured in Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto.
The band is currently working on a new record.
